Largo is not a discreet small town environment like that of Gulfport and Kenneth City. In fact, Largo is one of the larger cities in the Tampa Bay Area and full of wonderful and enjoyable experiences for all age groups. Although Largo started out as a pastoral farming community containing the real estate choices being that of orange groves, it has grown into just under 15 square miles of residential living developments that has become home to over 75,000 citizens. Largo real estate today contains diverse neighborhoods with affordable housing choices. Many people appreciate Largo’s ideal position within the center of Seminole, St. Peteresburg, Clearwater, Belleair, and Tampa.  Being in close proximity to other large Tampa Bay cities enhanced the abilities to commute easily for work or pleasure, its close proximity to many beaches is a large bonus as well. Similar to the amount of entertainment the surrounding cities have to offer, Largo is also full of surprises.

The Florida Botanical Garden that stretched 150 acres presents natural scenic views along paved pathways decorated by the various tropical Florida plants. Enjoy an assortment of classes held at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art for adults and children, or head to the Armed Forces Military Museum which features exhibits that will have children and adults amazed and thriving to learn more. A remarkable area that will take you into Florida’s past is Largo’s ever popular Heritage Village, a 21 acre living museum that features 28 historic structures. If you love being outdoors, a nice stroll along the boardwalk or within the nature trail are always pleasing, or go kayaking at Largo Central Park Nature Preserve. Largo’s community offers many events throughout the year for family and friends to enjoy. Take a free ride with the kids on the Largo Central Park Railroad that runs the first full weekend of each month, visit the playground, have a picnic, and bring your pets for a day of outdoor fun!
